busy busy busy!

Between dancing in a ballet company, working at a coffee shop, doing photography sessions here and there, and hanging out with my boy, I would have to say I'm a pretty busy person. But I love staying busy...most of the time. But seriously, if I didn't have those things going on already, I would just find other things to fill the time with! So its a never-ending cycle of busy!

And then I am so gently reminded that the Lord brings rest.
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul."
Psalm 23:1-3

Thank you, Jesus!

Here are some photos from around the house lately. That cat somehow ends up in so many of my photos...somehow.

Ha! I'm loving this terrified look on Marble's face. So good.

He knows he's not supposed to use the ladies restroom.

P.S!!! This weekend was amazing for great thrifty finds! Oh I just can't wait to show you!

spring cleaning!

This weather has been so stinking amazing these last few days. I'm in love. And in cleaning mode. Yes! Got a lot of dusting done today. Much needed...much. Ceiling fan, I'll get to you next.

Have you done any spring cleaning yet?! Its such a good feeling. Almost therapeutic. Love it!

Guys, I'm being totally serious in this next picture. Dusting is no joke.

Couldn't pass this up. Mr. Marble is too cute (sometimes).

And a special thanks to my lovely friend, Lesley for featuring me on her blog today. She's such a beautiful girl, used to be the best roommate, has the cutest little pregnant belly ever, and is an awesome friend. We like eating sushi at lunch time, thrifting together, talking about blogs we love and sharing new crafty ideas with one another. So fun! Here are some our greatest memories together.

Love you!

its been a while.

I'm still trying to get in the habit of blogging daily...it's not quite happening. Yet. But the day will come!

This was yesterday's outfit, inspired by the lovely spring weather! These are all pieces of clothing I've had for a while. And those boots? Well, I forgot I had them. Yep. I do that sometimes. Its like going shopping except not spending any money! Hooray!

Thought I'd give a shot at a different hair style today. This is what happened! I call it...The Wad.

Thank you to my lovely roommate Kourtney for the photos!

You GUYS. Last night, I did Hot Yoga. That's right. Burning, sweating, dripping in a 105 degree room. So sweaty that your yoga mat gets slippery (gross). That's why they tell you to bring a towel with you. Oh man. It was a great experience and I'm definitely going back next week. Yeeeeaaah!

My friend Jamie, Courtney and I tried it out together. Before it started, Jamie and I got all decked out in our little capri leggings and tight tank tops, hair in a messy bun on the top of our heads with headbands. We even re-painted our toenails. It was a big deal. I encourage ALL of you to go try it. So refreshing!

Hope your week is going wonderfully!

Oh, and here's some goofiness from Valentine's day with the boyfriend:

sometimes I make things Saturday!

Hey hey! This is the second weekly "sometimes I make things" Saturday. Pretty much a tradition of old by now.

A couple of these things I've made are more like re-styles rather than making from scratch. I'm a big fan of doing that! And I've been really inspired by Elsie and Rachel's Project Re-style they've got going on these last few weeks! You should go check it out.

Old lady skirt turned into cute, little skirt!

This was a giant, boxy 80's shirt, but I just sewed up the sides and rolled the sleeves up, and wah-lah!

This, my friends, is the first piece of clothing I've made from scratch! Yay for easy dresses!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend!

Got to take pictures of my friend, Lesley today! She's 15 weeks and starting to show a little bit. So stinkin cute!

fun hair and vintage finds and i'm at work!

Hi! I just wanted to share with you my "human hair, hair tie." Pretty rad, huh? I'm pumped about it.

So guyyyys, posting from work today. Its a little slow on this snowy day. I don't mind it. Come do the visits at me? Ok, good (Fog City Coffee, 1300 East Battlefield).

As a continuation from yesterday's post, here are some of my most favoritist thrift store finds from the last few weeks/months.

Little deer planter. I need to put a plant in it. But I'm a plant killer. Maybe a cactus?

Cutest, green clipboard. Ever.

I so feel like a 50's housewife when I use this adorable, pink iron. And I may or may not dress up in a polka dot dress and high heels when I use it...

Betty Crocker rocks!

This recipe box is full of the most awesome, old Betty Crocker recipe cards.

Not sure I'll actually use the recipes, but the boyfriend had a great idea to use them as thank you cards or happy birthday cards or just any kind of card! Isn't that an awesome idea?? Yeah, it totally is. Give me your address.

This owl penny jar didn't come from a thrift store, it came from my precious great-grandmother, Jewel Hart. Is that not the cutest name you've ever heard?? Oh I just love this little thing.

Best sewing machine ever. Wanna know what makes it so great? $12. Yeah.

I suppose I don't have to explain ever little picture. But apparently I'm going to.

I love old pictures and picture frames!

Cutest, 70's make-up bag. Love it!

Whoops! Not an antique. At all.

But this little spinny thing is! I think its so much cuter than the standard "k-cup" holder. And cheaper. Did I mention I like cheap?
