a good day

He is creative. Even when it comes to preparing breakfast.

Whip out the art supplies, its time to eat!

Fa-con and (fake) sausage, eggs in the hole, and fried potatoes.
Oh, so good!
Yesterday was a good day. Wake up, fix breakfast, and throw on a comfy outfit for a productive day.

growing

The husband and I took a little afternoon trip to the most awesome green house in Springfield, Wickman's Garden. I think the older I get, the more I'm discovering that I love flowers and plants and the process of growing them. Ok, actually for me the goal is just to keep them alive. Its a learning process. But I'm loving it more and more!

I've found that succulents are where I thrive. Maybe its because they don't really require much maintenance...but hey, you gotta start somewhere, right?

Husband wearing: hat: H&M, shirt: thrifted, cardigan: American Apparel, tie: Red Velvet, jeans: Levi's, shoes: thrifted Allen Edmonds
Wife wearing: sweatshirt: Urban Outfitters (thank you, Stephanie!), jacket: forever21, jeans: forever21, shoes: payless, sunglasses: Vintage Vice
And then I found the one my heart desired.

My new little succulent, I can't wait to watch you grow.

i like sweaters, but not working

sweater: thrifted, jeans: forever21, shoes: wild honey exchange, bracelet: gift from my super talented, adorable cousin

Happy Sunday, guys! I love Sundays. They are probably my favorite. Church, relaxing, spending time with the husband. Its good.

I did, however, just land a new job as the assistant manager at a local, natural foods market here in Springfield. Unfortunately being the new girl means that I can't be too picky about which days they schedule me. So, I may be working Sunday afternoons for the next few weeks. And Saturdays. Boooooo.

I'm trying to staying positive though! Working the weekend shifts means that I will have two days off during the week to do whatever I want! Which I'm pretty excited about. I guess you win some and you loose some.

I recently told Isaac that this whole finding-a-new-job business has made me realize that I just want to not work. Ever. Anyone with me? Yeah, I know I'm not alone on that one. I know the day will come when we will decide to start having cute little babies and then, my glory days will have arrived; stay at home mom!

But until then, I will be learning more about natural foods and being healthy. Can't complain about that!

thrifty thursday & date night

Isaac and I had a great afternoon and evening together. We thrifted a few great items, then cooked breakfast for dinner and watch some episodes of Arrested Development. Best show ever.

Here's our day in a glance. Or, a few glances.

Happy Friday everyone!

Oh man, I'm missing it just a little. But it's just hair. And change is fun!

wearing clothes is a good thing

I like clothes. I always have. Ever since I was four years old, I would get all dressed up and make my mom take pictures of me. I don't know what it is, but putting outfits together fascinates me. Even though some may not be super complex or require much thought, I still like it. The other day I told Isaac that sometimes I put outfits together in my head and asked if he ever did that too. Of course he said no. And then proceeded to say something along the lines of, "that's weird."

Well anyway, he's the best husband ever and is supporting my "weirdness" by taking pictures of my outfits so I can post them on here. Thanks, Isaac!

our wedding day according to friends with iphones

I'm so grateful to have so many friends with super cool iphones that take super cool instagram photos! Jealous a little. Except, Isaac and I are going to look at iphones tomorrow, so maybe I won't be so jealous soon.

thanks, guys!!

I couldn't be more happy about how our wedding day went! I know everyone says this, but seriously, it was so much better than I could have even imagined. In one word: FUN!
Isaac and I had been dating for over four years and we were so ready to start our married life together. Already in one week, I'm so blessed by him and I am so excited for the days to come!

Also, here are a few pictures from the honeymoon in Chicago. So fun!

It was such a great week. I think week long vacations should be like an every-other-month thing. Isaac, you agree right?? Great.
